If you are considering enrolling your child at our school, please give the office a call and they will make a time for a tour of the school with the principal or deputy principal. It is a great chance for us to begin to develop a relationship that enables us to care for and educate your child together.
Peninsula Primary provides a high quality rich education and has experienced significant growth. The school adopted an enrolment scheme on 2016 under the advice of the Ministry of Education.
If you live within our zone you are entitled to a place at our school. There is an area that is a shared zone with Matipo School. Families in this area have the choice of either school. Click here for a map of our zone. There are limited places for Out of Zone students for 2019.
On the day that your child starts school we ask that you provide evidence that you are living at your given address. At school we are able to copy a utility bill, tenancy agreement or sale and purchase agreement(these need to be recent, issued within the last 30 days) if you are moving into the area. We do need to sight the original.
If you live outside of the zone and you want to enrol you will need to apply through a ballot. Under Ministry of Education guidelines there are some groups of students who are given preference; students who already have a sibling at our school, siblings of former students, children of former pupils and finally students of employees or board members.
Under Ministry of Education rules the school is unable to take any other information into consideration.
Enrolment at the school is governed by an enrolment scheme, details of which are available from the school office.
The board invited applications from parents who wished to enrol their sons and daughters at Peninsula Primary School for 2019.
The deadline for receipt of applications for out of zone places was 16th October 2018. Places were subsequently offered to successful applicants, a ballot was not required.
Term 2 Out of Zone applications closed on March 19th. Places were subsequently offered to successful applicants, a ballot was not required.
Term 3 Out of Zone applications closed on June 11th. Places were subsequently offered to successful applicants, a ballot was not required.
If the number of out of zone applications exceeds the number of places available, students will be selected by ballot. If a ballot is required, it will be held one week from the deadline closure .
Parents will be informed of the outcome of the ballot within three school days of the ballot being held.
