Trash To Fashion 2011
The 2011 Trash To Fashion show was held at Corban Estate on the 3rd and 4th of September. Peninsula Primary School had 5 entries in the show and were delighted to find out that their Taniwha, which was entered in the Organic category,had won the Team Effort award. The Taniwha named ‘Tamaki Makau Rau o te Mara’ was designed and made by Alex Lake Smith, Daniel Mitchell, Truth Ngata-Aerengamate, Hayley Whittaker, Penina Tupou and Dezree Mitchell. Teachers, Barbara Kellerman and Amanda Lake were delighted to see that all of the hard work that this very creative group of children had put into their creation had been recognised by the judges.
